St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School

SPEECH AND COMMUNICATION CLASSES – Students in Years 2-10

Speech and Communication classes prepare students for a communication-savvy world, teaching them to be creative and confident speakers.

Classes aim to empower students with effective communication skills and build their self-esteem through public speaking, eisteddfods, AMEB and Trinity College of London examinations, and other fun, imaginative activities. Small group sessions ensure each student is given the time and attention they need.

2024 CLASSES

Group classes will be held at St Aidan’s on Monday, Thursday and Friday before and after school, during morning tea and lunchtime, and during school hours on a rotation system that ensures that students will not be disadvantaged with their schoolwork. Close communication with teachers from week to week allows us to set the most appropriate lesson times.

PRIVATE LESSONS

All students preparing for an AMEB exam are recommended to book in for a private lesson to thoroughly rehearse and polish their program. A limited number of time slots will be added to the website from time to time. These can be booked online via the Fees tab on a first-in basis.

If you are interested in regular weekly private lessons, please email [email protected] to discuss availability.

FINAL EXAM INTENSIVE COURSE – Term 1 Only

Year 10 students preparing for their final exam have the option of an intensive course of five 1-hour private lessons (instead of weekly group classes). This is only offered for Term 1, and the exam must be taken in March or April.

When enrolling, you will be able to select five private lesson times and an exam date.

Cost: $660 – five 1-hour private lessons + all behind-the-scenes program preparation.
