MUSICAL THEATRE HOLIDAY WORKSHOP: ANNIE & MEAN GIRLS

In January, our holiday workshop will once again provide a one-of-a-kind learning experience for anyone who loves performing. Over five days, students will be immersed in every aspect of theatre production, guided by a team of dedicated, industry-experienced professionals.

Open to all students in Years 2 to 10.

Tuition covers vocal techniques, acting skills and choreography. Fun drama games and exercises encourage creativity as students gain confidence and make new friends. All this while rehearsing two fabulous musicals for a performance on the final afternoon.

The scripts are adapted especially for CIA students to ensure they are suitable and fun for all ages.

Annie – Years 2 to 7*

“The sun’ll come out tomorrow!” The tale of a plucky orphan who goes from the “hard knock life” to the lap of luxury. With the help of her fellow orphans and billionaire Mr Warbucks, Annie dodges the evil clutches of Miss Hannigan.

Mean Girls – Years 7 to 10*

“On Wednesdays, we wear pink.” New to high school, Cady is thrown headfirst into the cutthroat world of social cliques, where gossip is the weapon of choice. Mean Girls is a larger-than-life comedy with a powerful message at its heart.
